This guide covers what happens to quantity tracking when you lock a listing’s price (“Lock Price”) in EaSync.
Quick answer
EaSync doesn’t have a dedicated “Lock Price” button — that’s the informal name sellers use for the “Do not modify price for this listing” checkbox in the listing override settings. Here’s the point that trips up a lot of sellers:
Locking the price does NOT stop quantity tracking. If you only check “Do not modify price,” EaSync keeps checking and updating the quantity from the source — only the price stops being recalculated.
Where to find these settings
Open the Listings page for your store.
Find the listing you want and click Details next to it.
Scroll down the listing page — the override settings block is there.
The same page has a filter that shows only listings with an override already applied — useful so you don’t lose track of what you’ve set.
What each setting does
The per-listing override block has several independent checkboxes — they combine rather than replace each other:
Setting | What it locks | What keeps updating |
Do not modify price for this listing (“Lock Price”) | Price — stays at what you set manually | Quantity — EaSync keeps checking and updating stock |
Do not modify quantity for this listing | Quantity — stays fixed | Price — keeps getting recalculated by repricing |
Disable repricing for this listing | Both price and quantity — both checks are fully off | Nothing — the repricer doesn’t touch this listing at all |
Disable ordering for this listing | Turns off Auto Ordering (AO) for this listing | Price and quantity still update, unless you’ve set other overrides |
If you need both the price and the quantity to stay fixed at the same time, check both boxes (“Do not modify price” + “Do not modify quantity”), or just use “Disable repricing for this listing,” which turns off both checks at once.
How to set the exact price when locking it
Once you check “Do not modify price,” you have three ways to set which price should stick:
Manual price override (Price override) — a hard-fixed price. It will stop updating from the supplier’s price (e.g. Amazon), even if that changes.
Margin Percent — the price still gets recalculated, but with your own margin percentage for this listing (overrides the general Repricing Settings).
Margin Fix — the same idea, but with a fixed markup amount instead of a percentage.
Set only one of these fields (either Margin Percent or Margin Fix) — EaSync support recommends against setting both at once.
In Stock Quantity Override is a separate field in the same block for quantity: you manually enter the number the listing should always show. To force a listing to Out of Stock, enter 0 and click Save.
Store-wide settings vs. a single-listing override
It’s worth keeping two levels apart. Changes under Settings → Repricing → Range Repricing (margin, percentages) apply to all of a store’s active listings and take effect at the next repricing cycle — not instantly, and not selectively. An override on an individual listing’s page (Listings → Details) always takes priority over those store-wide settings for that one listing.
