How to Connect a Target Store in EaSync

How to connect eBay, Shopify, or WooCommerce as your selling (target) store in EaSync.

Written by Dean

This guide covers how to connect a selling platform — what EaSync calls a “target store” — eBay, Shopify, or WooCommerce. Compiled and fact-checked against EaSync’s official articles.

Before you start

In EaSync, a “target store” is the platform where you sell products — as opposed to a “source,” the supplier you buy from (Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress; setting those up is covered in other guides, under Fulfillment Methods).

Three target platforms are currently supported:

  • eBay — the most common option.

  • Shopify — US market only.

  • WooCommerce — a WordPress plugin, connected via API keys.

After you connect a target store, EaSync starts syncing listings from it — this can take a few hours.

Option 1: eBay

To sell on eBay you need an eBay Seller Account — you can create one on eBay’s official site.

Steps 1–4: Connect your eBay store to EaSync

  1. On the my.easync.io home page, click “Add store” to choose a target store to add.

  2. Select your selling channel — eBay.

  3. Choose your eBay selling region.

  4. After choosing the region, you’ll be redirected to eBay’s authorization page automatically (as long as you’re already logged into your eBay account in the same browser) — click “Agree” to grant EaSync access.

That’s it — your store is connected. You can now manage listings, configure repricing, and process orders through EaSync.

Set up eBay Business Policies

Before listings and auto-ordering work correctly, you need to opt in to eBay Business Policies and configure three sections on eBay’s side:

  • Shipping — your shipping settings (for international sales, check “Send it to the US shipping center”; the Alaska/Hawaii, US Protectorates, APO/FPO, and PO Box exclusions are usually already set by default from EaSync, since Amazon doesn’t ship to those addresses).

  • Payment — be sure to enable “Require immediate payment” and enter the correct PayPal email. Without immediate payment, EaSync won’t be able to complete the auto-order (AO) with the supplier.

  • Returns — set your return policy (how many days you’ll accept returns).

Business Policies changes may take a few hours to appear on the listing-creation page, not right away.

You’ll also need to set up a payment method for eBay fees — otherwise you’ll get an error when creating a listing saying additional information is needed for your seller account.

Basic repricing settings for an eBay store

In Store Settings → Repricing Settings, these values are recommended for beginners:

  • Quantity in stock: 1

  • Shipping Time: 5

  • Enable Check Duplicates Across All Stores — on

  • Allow OOS Listings — on

In Offer Selection Settings:

  • Shipping method: Free

  • Maximum handling days: 7

  • Allow third-party FBA offers — on

  • Allow “Prime Only” offers — on

You don’t need to touch the other settings (Range Repricing, Additional Fee, Round Prices, Sales Count Repricing, VAT Details) as a beginner — unless you already have your own tax rules set up.

Option 2: Shopify

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • an active Shopify store;

  • access to your Shopify admin;

  • an EaSync account.

Step 1: Switch your EaSync account type to Shopify

  1. Open the menu on the left side of the interface and use the account-type switcher at the bottom of the sidebar.

  2. Select “Shopify account.”

Step 2: Start connecting your store

  1. Choose the option to connect a Shopify Store.

  2. Enter the URL of your existing Shopify store and click “Connect store.”

Don’t have a Shopify store yet? Create one at shopify.com — no credit card required, and there’s a free 3-day trial.

Step 3: Install the EaSync app in Shopify

After entering the URL and clicking “Connect store,” you’ll be redirected to the EaSync app page inside Shopify — install it to complete the connection.

Step 4: Choose an EaSync subscription plan

After installing the app, pick one of EaSync’s Shopify plans to activate the trial. All Shopify plans currently include a 7-day free trial.

The Shopify plan is billed separately, through Shopify’s own billing (billing for eBay and WooCommerce stores on the same EaSync account works as usual). To activate the trial, you’ll need to add a payment method on the Shopify Billing page.

Step 5: Start working

Once the trial is active, your Shopify store is connected and ready — you can start adding and publishing listings.

Limitations and supported markets

  • Target market: right now Shopify in EaSync supports US stores only.

  • Sources (suppliers) available for Shopify: AliExpress, Amazon, Walmart.

  • Auto ordering is supported for Shopify — you’ll need to connect an Amazon account in the Fulfillment Settings section.

Option 3: WooCommerce

Before you start, make sure you’re using WooCommerce version 2.4–2.6 or 3.0–3.5.1 — EaSync doesn’t officially support other versions.

Step 1: Prepare your products in WooCommerce

  • Products need to be Published and set to Public visibility — EaSync only sees products in that state.

  • Adding SKUs is recommended, especially for products with variations (not required, but useful).

  • Enable Manage Stock on all your products (including at the variation level) — this is what lets EaSync sync your inventory.

Step 2: Configure your WooCommerce store

  1. In WooCommerce → Settings → API, check the Enable REST API box and save changes.

  2. In WordPress settings (not WooCommerce), open Settings → Permalinks and choose any option except Default.

  3. Create a new user with the Administrator role — you’ll need it for the API key.

Step 3: Generate your API keys

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and click “Add Key.”

  2. Enter a description, choose the administrator user you created, and set permissions to Read/Write.

  3. Click “Generate API Key” — this creates a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.

Don’t close this page right away — you won’t be able to view the key again, only generate a new one.

Step 4: Connect the store in EaSync

  1. In a separate window, log in to your EaSync account, open the add-store section, and choose WooCommerce.

  2. Paste the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret into the corresponding fields.

  3. Enter your store URL and click “Submit.”

After connecting, EaSync will try to create a test Product Tag in your WooCommerce store to confirm the connection is set up correctly. You can find and delete this tag under Products → Tags.

Quick summary

  • eBay — the most common and battle-tested option; requires setting up Business Policies (Shipping, Payment, Returns) and a payment method for eBay fees.

  • Shopify — good if you only sell to the US market; connected by switching account type and installing the EaSync app inside Shopify itself, billed separately through Shopify.

  • WooCommerce — needs some technical setup (a specific plugin version, REST API, API keys), but gives you full control over your store on your own WordPress hosting.

  • Connecting a supplier (source: Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress) for auto-ordering is a separate step — it’s not part of connecting a target store, and is configured under Fulfillment Methods.
