How to Resolve the “We’re Unable to Send an SMS Message to Verify Your Mobile Number” Error

Written by Adele

The “We’re unable to send an SMS message to verify your mobile number” error may occur when your Amazon account is configured to use WhatsApp for verification instead of the required authentication method.

To resolve this issue and allow your orders to be processed and updated automatically in Easync, you need to disable WhatsApp verification in your Amazon account and configure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) correctly.

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Log In to Your Amazon Account

  1. Log in to the Amazon account associated with the error.

  2. Navigate to Login & Security.

  3. Open your Two-Step Verification (2SV) or security settings.

  4. Check whether WhatsApp is configured as a verification method.

Step 2: Disable WhatsApp Verification

If WhatsApp is enabled as a verification method, disable it in your Amazon account settings.

Once you have updated the settings, proceed to configure Two-Factor Authentication using the method required by Easync.

Step 3: Configure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Follow the instructions in our guide:

This article explains how to configure 2FA using an authenticator app, save your Amazon 2FA secret key, and complete the setup in Easync.

Make sure you follow all the steps in the guide to ensure that your authentication settings are configured correctly.

Step 4: Verify Your Settings

After completing the 2FA setup, make sure your Amazon account is configured to use the authenticator app as described in the guide.

This configuration allows Easync to retrieve the required OTP codes for supported automatic order processing and order status updates.
